Mission
To improve and maintain quality of life for individuals and their families recovering from brain dysfunction by achieving the best possible individual level of independence and reintegration at home, at school, at work, and throughout the community.
Vision
Responsiveness to diverse community environments through flexible, onsite intervention serves as a catalyst for recovery over the long-term for the person served.
Core Values
At CNS, we believe that, with timely rehabilitation, each person can improve his or her functional abilities regardless of the nature of the injury sustained. Individually designed cognitive and psychosocial therapy programs, supplemented by therapeutic groups and community reintegration, will achieve the best outcome.
Approach
Community Neurorehab Services provides holistic, comprehensive community- based rehabilitation to individuals recovering from neurological conditions such as brain injury and stroke. Intensive one-to-one rehabilitation is based on mutually established outcome goals, emphasizing practical applications, discovery of strengths and development of compensatory strategies to overcome limitations. Services are provided within the person's community, addressing not only the individual, but also the environment in which he/she lives. Cognitive, physical, psychosocial and social aspects of individuals are addressed, with a view to successful community and/or vocational integration.
